Ian McNeill has spent the majority of his career in the IT industry, initially in a variety of technical roles. He was appointed to the board of a plc in 1980, then along with three colleagues formed a software group which grew rapidly and was sold in a trade sale in 1991. Since then he has been an investor in and director of a number of technology start-ups, and now has an extensive portfolio of technology investments. In the last few years he has also invested in the natural resources sector, and has a growing portfolio of natural resources stocks.

Watson Morgan LLP is a limited liability partnership which has taken over the business of Commercial Technology Limited (CTL) and which employs accounting staff who look after the financial and statutory management of many of his investments.

Ian is a keen golfer, skiier and motorcyclist, and he and Margaret travel the world at every opportunity to a wide range of far-flung places.
